Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Routine Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the appliance before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work. Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, or wax polishes as these will damage the surface and leave a strong odor.
External Cleaning
Use only warm water with a little washing-up liquid added for cleaning the outer casing of the appliance. Avoid proprietary kitchen surface cleaners as they contain chemicals that can damage the plastics used in this appliance.
Automatic Defrosting
Your appliance has been designed to be frost free, meaning there is no need to manually defrost your appliance as this will be carried out automatically.
Dusting the Condenser and Compressor
Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Ensure the appliance is switched off before performing this task.
Changing the Light Bulb
If the interior light fails, switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply. Unscrew the light cover and replace the bulb with a new 15-watt bulb. Replace the light cover and screw it back into position.
